IMPROVING ENGLISH STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILLS THROUGH AN ACTION LEARNING STRATEGY

For students of English education, speaking skills are paramount importance. However, in the context at Universitas Bengkulu, many seemed to still struggle with skills. Therefore, cope this problem, classroom action research was conducted aim improving who took conversation course by applying learning strategy (ALS) since scientifically promising. Two phases class design were employed project. The data garnered using observations, interviews, and English-speaking test. It evident from first phase observation that almost all recommended ALS. interview revealed a significant proportion had profited approach, there few spoke front class. phase's precise decision how an average score 74 attained students. At second phase, showed nearly actively participated during discussions good improvements result implementation ALS semester 1 improves S1 students’
